Opening the season as NorPac West Offensive Player of the Week (Sept. 1), Keyawa was perfect, scoring three goals on three attempts in two games, including both goals in the Tigers 2-1 comeback win over Missouri State (Aug. 28) in the home opener. Kim closed out her career with a hat trick against Appalachian State (Nov. 6) in the NorPac Conference Tournament, scoring three of the Tigers seven goals en route to a 7-2 win. She was the only Tiger named to the conference all-tournament team. Kim completes her career third on the Pacific All-Time Offense list with 49 total career points and tied for second with most goals scored in a single game (3). A four-time National Field Hockey Coaches Association Academic All-American, she was honored as Pacific's most outstanding offensive player in 2009.</p><p><strong>2008 (Junior)</strong>: Keyawa started in all 18 games finishing second on the team in assists and fourth in total points (9). She knocked in three goals and had three assists.</p><p><strong>2007 (Sophomore)</strong>: Kim saw time in all 18 games, earning nine starts. She finished second on the team in goals and points. Keyawa added an assist to her career total with two game-winning goals. In three different contests, Kim knocked in two goals, twice against Appalachian State.</p><p><strong>2006 (Freshman)</strong>: Keyawa appeared in 18 of the Tiger's 19 games, firing one shot.</p><p><strong>High School</strong>: Kim attended Chico High School, where her team suffered only one loss over the course of her four-year career. As a junior she scored 15 goals and recorded 12 assists, and as a senior she scored 20 goals and notched seven assists. Kim received all-conference honors as a junior and as a senior, and in 2005 she was named the MVP of the CIF tournament. In addition to being the captain of the field hockey team, she was also the captain of her basketball and her softball teams.</p><p><strong>Personal</strong>: Kimberly Keyawa was born in Chico, Calif. Daughter of David and Deanna Keyawa, she has one sister Lindsay. The communication/public relations major plans on becoming an event planner. Her hobbies include basketball, softball, coaching and making movies with friends.</p><p><strong>MacDonald on Keyawa</strong>: Kim has developed into a threat from the midfield as well as forward line. She has quickness in the circle and great anticipation in the midfield.
